Good morning! Now that you're up we'd like to tell you about a little part of our going-to-bed routine. It's the nightstand: A mini beauty buffet.
Beside our bed (as close as we can get to our pillow, really), we have a couple of things within arms reach so that before catching some zzz's, we do a little beautification. We keep our night lip balm, an eye mask and a hand cream (or coconut oil). This way, right before we fall asleep we get a little hydration in for the hours we'll be sleeping.
The routine is super simple and goes like this: lip balm, hand cream or body moisturiser on hands, feet and legs, and sometimes we'll keep a serum to top off our face-washing routine and make for some extra skin care. This routine works really well, because no matter how tired we are we can always just reach and do a little beauty prep. No needing to get up because our hands feel dry, and no applying foot cream in the bathroom then padding to bed leaving greasy foot marks on the floor or getting our sticky feet dusty. It's all there and we pretty much have no excuse. It also helps because if we didn't moisturise our feet or legs that day, then we're sure to do it every night. We'll also take a minute to do our nails trick for better cuticles. All this in 2 minutes or less. Softer legs, feet, hands, lips and cuticles, with barely any effort. It's our kind of beauty routine. For the final step, we put on our eye mask (more on the eye mask tomorrow) and it's off to Neverland!
So today, grab your last-thing essentials and stock them on your night table or as close to your pillow as you can, and get grooming right before you get to sleep.
