You know those times when you wake up in the morning and look in the mirror and barely recognize yourself? Your face is puffy and feels kind of like a big heavy balloon? No? Yes? We do. Whether it's from a night of enjoying some boozy beverages, from crying, or from both (tough night, we've been there), this tip makes putting on your coverup less of a smeary attack of concealer and more of an exercise in calm simplicity and effectiveness.
Here's the tip: If you've got a little puffiness going on, DON'T put the concealer on the puffy part. The part of the eye close to the lower lashline hugging the eyeball is where things tend to bulge out. Go ahead and apply concealer, but ONLY to the dark circles below this area. Then blend in gently.
This works because undereye concealer is typically a little lighter than your skintone. The reason for this is to bring dark areas forward by lightening them. The puffy part under eyes is already coming forward, so adding concealer to it will only make it come forward even more.
Got it? Happy concealing!
